Packing Tips
What to pack for a river rafting trip
Packing for a trip like this can feel daunting, but don’t worry, we’re here to help!
Each raft has a waterproof barrel (approximately 60 litres), shared between two people. You’re welcome to strap additional gear onto the raft, but keep in mind it will get wet. We recommend lining your barrel with plastic bags to help keep your items dry.
During the day, wear swimwear and a long-sleeved shirts for sun protection. Keep a set of dry clothes for the evenings in your barrel.
Bring only the essential toiletries and pack plenty of sunscreen. Bring at least 2l of water per day.
On longer trips with a resupply point, you can arrange for extra items to be delivered or send items back to base camp. This is ideal for restocking snacks or fresh clothes.
Please note: no glass is allowed on the river. All drinks must be in cans, plastic bottles, or cartons.
