Itinerary
Arrival day
Our base camp is just a few minutes’ drive from the Vioolsdrif/Noordoewer border. Once you arrive, our camp manager will be there to welcome you. Take some time to explore, settle in, and unwind before dinner at 7 pm.
The day on the river
You will enjoy an early breakfast at 6am to fuel up for the adventure ahead. Afterwards, our guide will teach you what you need to know before the boats hit the water, including the proper way to row, what to do if you capsize, and how to tackle the rapids.
You can fill your cooler box with ice and snacks before being transported to the starting point just upstream from base camp. From there, the journey continues with a scenic row through mesmerizing landscapes and abundant wildlife. A well-deserved lunch break awaits on the riverbanks, followed by the final stretch back to base camp.
You’ll have dinner and overnight at the camp, resting up after a long day of fun.
Departure day
After an exciting day on the river, you will have breakfast and then depart home or continue your journey. Already planing your next Orange River trip.
